Nepal’s Top Media Personalities Launch Setopati, Digital Newspaper

A team of Nepal’s top media personalities have come together to launch a digital newspaper called Setopati in Nepal. Although complete details of the digital newspaper haven’t been revealed yet, the Setopati team was seen today at inauguration ceremony of their website Setopati.com. The website inauguration ceremony was held at the newspaper’s office in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur.

Seen at the event as part of Setopati team were Nepal’s popular media personalities including Narayan Wagle, Ameet Dhakal, Yubraj Ghimire, Manoj Dahal and Sudeep Shrestha among others. Here are few images from the inauguration taken from the newspaper’s Facebook page.

The website that was launched today has a layout inspired from the Huffington Post. See the screenshot below.

It’s indeed a great effort and initiative from experienced newspaper editors of the country. The team looks so strong and consists of ex/current editors from several top newspapers and magazines in Nepal. Hopefully they will perform much better as a team and be successful in taking Nepali Media to new heights. Best of luck to Setopati!
