Binod Chaudhary – Nepal’s First Billionaire Story on Al Jazeera

Subina Shrestha from Al Jazeera has reported about Nepal’s first billionaire Binod Chaudhary and his business empire in Nepal. Dubbing Binod Chaudhary as Nepal’s ‘noodle king’, Subina Shrestha has presented a short report on the profile of Binod Chaudhary. Watch the Al Jazeera’s video below.

Binod Chaudhary was listed as Nepal’s first billionaire on Forbes Magazine few weeks earlier. Chaudhary who owns several businesses in Nepal and partnerships abroad is the President of Chaudhary Group (CG) Nepal. According to forbes, he has an estimated wealth of $1 billion and is on 1342th position in published rankings list of world’s richest person.

I like what Binod Chaudhary says in the video that Residents in Nepal should have equal rights as those of Non Resident Nepalis in terms of investing in foreign countries. It’s sad that Nepal’s law prohibits its citizens from investing in foreign countries.
