Apa Sherpa to receive honorary degree from University of Utah
Nepali mountaineer Apa Sherpa has been selected to receive an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Utah. Sherpa will receive the doctorate of humane letters from the American based University . Apa Sherpa has made a world record by climbing the Mt. Everest ( the highest peak in the world) for 21 times, one of the reason why he is also known as “Super Sherpa”.
Nepal born Sherpa has been settling in Utah with his family since 2006. He established the Apa Sherpa Foundation in April 2009 for the better education and development of economic status of Nepal.
Sherpa was also a active member of The Eco Everest Expedition to raise awareness about climate change on the Everest submit due to global warming.
