– Nepal lost its semifinal match with Afghanistan 1-0, Afghanistan enters Finale of SAFF Championship 2013.

The Nepal vs. Afghanistan match will be played in a fully packed Dasarath Stadium of more than 20 thousands audience. About 18,000 tickets were sold out in a few hours after three counters opened today, according to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). The ticket prices for today’s match were increased to Rs 1,000 for the closed and Rs 500 for the open parapet due to high demands.

Team Nepal started their journey with an easy 2-0 victory against Bangladesh in the inaugural match of the championship. They struggled to equalize with Pakistan and settled for 1-1 draw in their second scheduled match. The team had then attained a historic win 2-1 against defending champion India.

With Afghanistan team, they started the championship with their easy victory over Bhutan 3-0 in their first match. In their second match, they crushed Sri Lanka 3-1, and drew their third match with Maldives at 1-1. As the runners-up of Group ‘B’, they are now facing Nepal in this semifinal match of the SAFF Championship.
