SLC Examination Centres set for 2070
The Office of the Comptroller of Examination (OCE) under the Ministry of Education has set 1.836 examination centres all over the country for the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations. The SLC exams are running from 20 – 28th of March. Deputy Comptroller at OCE, Pralhad Aryal, said that from this year the home centres have been left out. This year, 50 exam centers have been added. As for last year, OCE has set 1,786 exam centres.
According to OCE, printing work of the SLC question papers has already finished. The question papers have been posted to all the respective districts except Kathmandu Valley. Deputy Comptroller Aryal said that all the necessary materials along with the question papers including answersheets have been sent off to the respective districts except Kathmandu Valley. For SLC Examination 2070, around 566,000 students are appearing for the examination this year.
SLC Examinations, often quoted as ‘iron gate’, are considered one of the most important gateways to higher education after high school education in Nepal.
