ANA Convention 2013 NY inaugural ceremony (Photos)

The 31st edition of the Association of Nepalis in the Americas (ANA) Convention 2013 has been inaugurated by Peter W. Bodde, the United States Ambassador to Nepal amidst a grand opening ceremony today in New York today. Speaking at the ceremony, Bodde said that the convention will further strengthen the relations between the two countries – US and Nepal. A culture parade was held before the opening Ceremony of the convention. Here are few images from the opening ceremony of the event.

The event has exclusively invited Maha Jodi (Hari Bansha Acharya and Madan Krishna) from Nepal. Other public figures such as Sushil Koirala (President of the Nepali Congress Party), Kush Kumar Joshi (leading industrialists of Nepal and former president of FNCCI) are also the main highlights of the event.

The three-day convention has several events in its schedule including Trade Show, Fashion and Dj-Nite, Movie festival, Sporting Events and Kids Programs. The event that is being held at Hilton Westchester (699 Westchester Ave Rye Brook) in NY 10573 will end with a Grand Finale Concert and performance from Maha Jodi.
