Popular actress Rekha Thapa<\/strong> and CPN-UML Politburo member Urmila Aryal<\/strong> have joined UCPN (Maoist) today amidst program held at party headquarters office in Koteshwor, Kathmandu. Hundreds of Maoist supporters and top leaders of the UCPN Maoist including Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal \u2018Prachanda\u2019, Dr Baburam Bhattarai and others were present at the program.<\/p>\n

Prachanda, who welcomed entry of communist leader Aryal and famous actress Rekha Thapa into the UCPN (Maoist) said that their entrance in the party, among others would help institutionalize the political achievements in the country.<\/p>\n

Rekha Thapa who looked bit nervous at the program said, \u201cI joined the party to serve the nation. My family members have sacrificed blood for the movement. You will know gradually which class I belong to.\u201d \u201cI opted Politics as a medium to serve the country and people\u201d, she added.<\/p>\n

Similarly, leader Aryal said she returned to her own house by crossing many ups and downs after joining the UML in 2046 BS and expressed commitments to fulfill the given duties in the party. \u201cI joined the UCPN (Maoist) to make it the center of Nepal\u2019s communist forces. I want end of groupism in this party, if there are any,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
