Rs 1 million Robbed of Alpine Development Bank in Hetauda
It hasn’t been more than couple of weeks since the bank robbery of Nabil Bank’s 23.1 millions in Kailali . And now there’s news of another bank robbery involving two people that have robbed one Million rupees of Alpine Development Bank in Hetauda. The burglars armed with a pistol looted midway while Bishnu Adhikari (head of Chhatiwan branch) and guardsperson Ram Bahadur Majhi were taking the money from the head office of the bank to Chhatiwan branch on a motorbike.
It was about 11:30 am when the burglars on a Pulsar motorbike with number Ba 13 Pa 1735 looted the money in a jungle near Furkechaur of Harnamadi VDC. The robbers left the motorbike at spot and ran away with the looted money. Guardsperson Ram Bahadur Majhi said that he was unable to guard with a Khukuri after the burglars frightened them with a pistol. Manager Adhikari and guardperson Majhi have been taken under control by police for further inquiry.
CEO of Alpine Development Bank, Sudarshan Prasad Adhikari said that they instantly called police after the robbers ran away with money from spot. The spot is around 20 km eastwards of Hetauda bazar whereby the jungle is 300 m before Furkechaur bazar.
Superintendent of Police, Ganesh Bahadur Ayer, after he returned from the inspection of spot, said that the robbery was pre-planned. He came directly from District Police Office, Makawanpur, after he was informed about the incident. He also said that an investigation squad including the police personnel from Hattisudhe and Thulodamar posts has been formed under the command of Police Inspector Yadav Thapa. The investigation squad has been vastly operating for identifying the thieves.
