Why do you want to participate in this pageant?
I had the privilege of growing up in Nepal with a very loving family where I was taught to always help others. “Hamilai dina siknu parcha ra sanai dekhi dina sikauna parcha” a quote by Mr. Rabindra Mishra (BBC corresponded for Nepal) touches my heart. It matches with what my parents have always taught me, “to give and to share.” Even as a little girl I have always been ambitious and always had a dream to do something in life. If you are selected for this title, what platform or issue will you speak throughout the year ?
I hope to use the title of Miss Nepal USA, as a platform to make a difference by addressing many issues and concerns in regards to “structural constraints” of Nepal. However at this time, my main focus is to spread awareness and educate others about their health to prevent late/untimely diagnosis of Cancer. Together, we have the power to help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays! Cancer is a global issue. I know I can make a difference in the fight to end cancer. By raising funds and walking in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and The Avon Walk. I will help save lives from cancer. These walks have also been a way to inspire hope by raising funds and awareness to help those facing the disease.I’d like to organize something similar to these walks in different cities in Nepal to provide free information and services to people who need it throughout their journey to get well.
