Why do you want to participate in this pageant?
I grew up watching Miss Nepal, being awed by the pageant, but mostly, criticizing the details. I have always been among the critics of these pageants; but have now grown out of criticizing. Changes in the system starts from ‘me’. I want to participate in this pageant to learn, and in order to be a part of the change. In addition to this, being part in this pageant is being part of a warmer Nepali community away from home; which is essential for an individual who is not with her family.
If you are selected for this title, what platform or issue will you speak throughout the year ?
The issues I will speak about throughout the year in the order of their priority to me are: dealing with sexual harassment and molestation, business as a priority subject (not xenocentric to Science) and, making Chaupadi more sanitary in the rural western Nepal (not by degrading or judging the culture but from the perspective of health)
