Khil Raj Regmi Sworn in as 36th Prime Minister of Nepal
Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi is sworned in as the Prime Minister of Nepal – Chairman of the Interim Election Government . This affirmation was held at the President’s office in Shital Niwas on Thursday. With this Khil Raj Regmi has become the 36th prime minister of Nepal.
In a special function, President Ram Baran Yadav placed the oath of office and secrecy to Regmi this morning. At the same time, Regmi comfirmed former Chief Secretary Madhav Prasad Ghimire as the Foreign Minister and Home Minister and Hari Prasad Neupane as the Minister for Law and Justice and Minister for Labour and Transport Management.
The leaders from the major political parties had authorized 11-point agreement on Wednesday night to form an election government under the leadership of Chief Justice Regmi.
