2014 FIFA World Cup Trophy in Nepal Today!
Good news for Nepali football lovers that the 2014 FIFA World Cup Trophy will be appearing in Nepal today. The ‘Trophy Tour’ started on 12th September from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which is also hosting the competition for second time. The World Cup Trophy is being carried to Nepal from Bhutan on Saturday.
The trophy is being brought on FIFA’s jet plane, which will be landing on Tribhuvan International Airport. The trophy will then be exhibited on Dashrath Stadium from 12:00 noon onwards. President of Nepal, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav will inaugurate the exhibition ceremony and he will be the only person to touch the trophy. After his departure at 12:30, national players, other players, ANFA officials and some high ranking officials will have a photo session with the trophy from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
The exhibition will be open for public from 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm, where nearly 4500 Coca-Cola Lucky Draw winners will get a chance to watch the trophy. The Coca-Cola Company had asked the public few months ago for participation in the lucky draw for the World Cup Trophy exhibition.
Ranjit Acharya, CEO of Prisma Advertising, said that more than 7000 people will get a chance to observe the trophy. A suite room at Soaltee Crown Plaza has been booked for safekeeping of the trophy. After keeping for one day at Soaltee Crown Plaza, the trophy will be taken to India on Sunday.
