Nepal Telecom Launches free Internet Facility with NT Wifi Hotspot
Good news for Kathmandu Valley populaces that Nepal Telecom (NT) has launched free NT Wifi Hotspot scheme over the selected communal areas of the Valley. NT, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary, launched the scheme effective up to 6th March. Lately, NT has been planning to make Wifi Hotspot Zone over more than 500 public areas of the Valley, where people can enjoy free internet facility. Also, Managing Director at NT, Anoop Ranjan Bhattarai, has declared that NT will be soon developing 3G Network nationwide within a year.
The selected areas, where people can enjoy free internet facility are: Dharahara Area, Gongabu New Buspark Area, Lazimpat Chowk, New Baneshwor Chowk, Sitapaila Chowk, Around Acme Engineering College Area, Helping Hand Community Hospital at Chabahil, Vayodha Hospital at Balkhu, Manamohan Memorial Hospital, Bhrikuti Mandap, Narsingh Chowk at Thamel, Bir Hospital, Gangalal Hospital at Basbari, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Around Kathmandu Engineering College Area at Kalimati, Kathmandu Medical College Hospital at Sinamangal and Keshar Mahal Chowk in Kathmandu.
Similarly, the hotspot areas in Lalitpur are: Kopundole Gusingal/Around Advanced Engineering College Area, Star Hospital at Sanepa, Patan Hospital and Around Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce Secretariat Area at Mangal Bazar.
For enjoying the facility, following are the instructions to NT Postpaid and Prepaid customers:
- Go to your Message Box and type Wifi
- Send it to 1416
- After the delivery, you will get password from NT
- Connect NT Wifi SSID in your mobile or laptop device
- A webpage will appear on your device and ask for authentication
- Type your mobile no. on user box and the received password from NT on password box
